When it comes to reporting Geo Locations are playing major roles. For Inserting this chemistry to Power BI reporting i think ArcGIS maps is the suitable solution. This because it comes with tones of customization features will talk about that later.

What is ArcGIS? 

ArcGIS Maps for Power BI is a custom data visualization built into Microsoft Power BI that brings outstanding mapping capabilities into your reports and dashboards.using ArcGIS Maps we can identify

• Geoenable your data more accurately
• Display your data using smart map themes
• Make area-based selections
• Understand the demographics of areas you're interested in

Understanding Functionalities 

For Showing the functionality I choose northwind Database. There is a table called territory and Order Details. Load those 2 tables into power BI. 

Select ArcGIS maps from visualizations.

After add this to the report first is appears like below

After Dropping the map in the right hand side filed section there are 7 fields in the location field you can give a country formatted column using data in that filed ArcGIS maps selecting locatins from Microsoft Bing map interface and give the location.If this cant find the location you can give the latitude and longitude to get a accurate pinpointing location. For more customization you can select edit from the Visualization as shown below.

 After clicking that a menu will appear as below

there are several items on the editing bar.

1. Basemap
2. Location Type
3. Map Theme
4. Symbol style
5. Reference layer
6. Infographics 

1. Basemap
This contains the base map styles which kind of map theme you want to add for the report.

2.Location Type
This contains small tweaks about the maps locations

In here you can see that Represent location as Combo box this combo box contains how to represent our data points or boundaries.In the Location are on combo box you can select the points are scattered around the world or just in a one country.

3.Map Theme
This contains the pointer types what kind of theme that wanted to use for visualizing the data points.

4.Symbol Styles
In here you can further customize data pins. size of the pins,pin color, shape etc.

5.Reference layer
This contains the inbuilt Demo graphical and geographical data. like average house hold size, Population density,Population Growth etc. In the figure below I have used population growth demo graphical data for USA

6.Infographics
This contains details about country like Total Population,Age,Income,etc in the figure below i have used total population by gender and total population.

There are tons of other functionalities available in the ArcGIS map. We'll meet after another session power bi visualization later.
